The media team also unveiled the official portraits of the incoming President and Vice President.
Buhari is the second retired army general to drop general from their names on assumption of office as President.
The first was General Olusegun Obasanjo who exchanged the title with Chief, on assumption of office as civilian President in 1999.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also opted to drop “Alhaji” from his name during his time as Nigeria’s Vice President
